The Comets started the season off with a surprisingly easy 24-10 win over the Bulldogs.
Solon led 14-3 at the half and was never really threatened. The Comets new backfield acquitted itself well. Juan Lemus scored the first points of the game off a 31-yard touchdown run. Jake Voigt hit tight end Ryan Rosenberg for a 9-yard touchdown in the second quarter to pull ahead 14-3.
The Comets’ schedule doesn’t get any easier with Massillon Jackson and Mentor coming up the next two weeks.
We’ll have more information when it comes in.
